After the Astaroth and Astaroth Origin, Bandai finally releases an Astaroth Rinascimento. If you're looking for one of a kind asymmetrical design on Gundam model kits, then this is the right kit for you.
Straight out of the box, this kit is phenomenal. The overall design and surface details are top-notch. The first thing that will catch your attention is its asymmetrical head or I should say the huge v-fin on the left part of the head. Compared to the original Astaroth, this specific kit has more panel lining opportunities and the design is way better. The sub-knuckle on the left arm is now bigger and the right leg has now a difference in color from the left leg.
When it comes to accessories, this particular kit came with a lot of it. First, we have the Shield Arm that can be used as a shield or can be transformed into a sub-arm that can wield any weapons. It also has the same weapon from the OG Astaroth: the rifle, knife, and the iconic Demolition Knife. The new set of weaponry came with an additional knife and the most awaited Bastard Chopper that can be combined with the Demolition Knife. Imagine how huge it is and on top of that it has also an additional holster for the 2 knives and rifle, which only means that you can attach all the accessories to the mobile suit itself and it will be fewer missing parts in the future.
Like most of the previous Iron-Blooded Orphans kit, this thing has the same great points of articulation. The only problem that I got is its weak left shoulder joint which is quite understandable due to its heavy weapon. And before I forgot it also came with a lot of leftover parts. It may be bad news for some but a piece of good news for many like me. Those leftover parts can be used for customizing the IBO kits mainly the previous Astaroths. You will be having a great time playing with them especially if you have all versions of Astaroth. It is like having a 30 minutes mission kit in the IBO line.
On the whole, the HG Astaroth Rinascimento is an outstanding kit. From the build process up to the final results.
