Things are heating up as we get closer to the Final Race. On the 25th of May, Stage 2 of the Otaku ME Grand Prix was held at the Time Square Center in Dubai. Participants were doubled as more and more racers joined the competition knowing what’s at stake.
Over 50 racers participated in the race with a total of 150 Mini 4WD cars.
Stage 2 saw a more diverse group with more locals getting into the hobby. Despite being competitive, the competition created a social platform and friendly environment among racers as they share tips, tricks and, experiences with each other.
For the second stage, the racers had to face the Velocity track. It was a speed-focused course but with some surprise steep lane changes and chicanes that acted as danger zones. The racers had to set their cars up for speed and stability. It was their chance to go all out in speed and it proved to be really popular with racers and spectators alike.
After all the dust has settled, three of the best emerged as winners but only one was held as the champion.
Champion: Ryan Rey Gonzales
1st Place: Joselito Bondoc
2nd Place: Nathaniel Cheng
Stage 3 of the Otaku ME Grand Prix is set on the 22nd of June in Times Square Center, Dubai. Registration is now open at the Otaku ME store located near Noor Bank metro station.
