Here, we have the Lighting Zeta Gundam from the Build Fighters try series and the kit it's based upon, the HGUC Zeta Gundam from the Zeta Gundam and Gundam ZZ Universal Century series. Though they share very similar looks, there's a lot of differences between the two.
Articulation:
On the upper half of the body, the Lightning Zeta has the clear advantage thanks to the use of a modern double joint system, as demonstrated in the elbow, allowing it to maximize its reach, yet the Zeta lacks this and due to its design, articulation on the arms and wrists, is limited.
Although on the lower half, the Zeta excels greatly! It's ability to transform allows for some more points of articulation, the feet and flaps for instance, can position themselves all the way flat and the knee joints can even bend inverted!
Details:
The Lightning Zeta has better seam line coverage, better colour separation on the plastic parts and a greater amount of detail and thus, more paneling options are available. But the Zeta, having more surface area to work with, has better chances for customization such as scribing and modifications to be made.
Accessories:
While both suits come equipped with the shield and beam rifle, the Lightning Zeta's rifle is significantly larger and more detailed to go along with the suit's bulk appearance whereas the Zeta is sleeker in design. However... THE ZETA HAS THE HYPER MEGA LAUNCHER WITH IT! xD
It's even longer than the suit's height when in compact mode!
The Barrel can extend out revealing some nice hidden details, and the Weapon has three hard points for the handles, One on the bottom and two on the sides.
B L A M ! ! !
The Lightning Zeta also has a a burst system called the Pheonix Burst, which uses the Backpack binders to be deployed outwards, mounting them on the forearms!
