First of all, this kit is heavily based on the first release of Master Grade Qant which was released eleven years ago! But don't let that age disappoint you, this particular kit can still compete with most of the latest released gunpla. Well, it seems like Bandai is thinking ahead of the future with this one.
The only difference between this 2018 version and the old ver. is that they changed some of the parts for the better, which include the GN capacitor, the head antenna, and of course the GN Sword IV FULL SABER. Which made this kit even more gorgeous.
The accessories that came with this kit is quite a lot, which includes
GN Sword IV, GN Gamblade (x3), GN Sword V, GN Sword Bit, GN Shield, Base for GN Sword IV, Stickers, Foil stickers, Dry-transfer decals. Out of all these accessories, the full saber is the main event, aside from being big, this sword packs a lot of details and articulation, and it can also transform into various modes. The full saber sword is so heavy, that is why Bandai included a small stand for it.
The surface details and color separation is so good, but be mind full of the nub marks and mould lines, this kit can produce a lot of stress marks especially on the blue parts. But sanding it with #800 grit and applying some blue Gundam marker will make those marks disappear a little bit.
When it comes to articulations, this kit is the beast of poseability!. The joints are extraordinary they are fairly tight, It can do a lot of dynamic poses even with the giant sword attached to it. Getting a separate stand for the mobile suit will make this particular kit bring out its full potential on posing.
The only complaint that I have besides those annoying nub marks and mould lines. Is its backpack, it is so loose that even from a little bit of movement it will tend to fall off. But still, this is also remediable.
