The Gundam Astraea is another variant of Exia from the Anime series Mobile Suit Double 0 Gundam. This particular kit was released way back in 2010. Granted that the kit was already 11 years old, it is still one of the best HG kits to find in the market.
The kit looks plain out of the box, but adding some panel lines will definitely look a lot better. The stickers that came with the kit are ok, putting them on will not make the kit looks awful.
Building experience is on the bright side. I did not encounter any problems at all. The process was smooth from start to finish.
Articulations are great, you can do a lot of decent action pose, just be aware of the front and back skirts. It may block some of the leg movements. And the left and right chest parts may need some minor tweaks for the reason that they tend to fall off over time.
The accessories are fine, it came with a pair of beam sabers, 2 rifles, a shield, and a GN sword, plus the extra weapons from Exia.
Since the kit is based on HG Exia, expect that there's a lot of leftover parts included. It may be good at some point because you can almost convert the Astraea into Exia. You can change the shoulder, torso, waist, and head, not to mention those extra set of weapons that belongs to Exia. You can do some kitbashing and also practice your painting skills with the extra parts that came with it.
