When it comes to a Grunt Suit we don't quite often see them in a Master Grade line. But when Bandai releases them, most of the time they are a Limited Release or also known as P-Bandai. Which are kinda hard to get especially here in UAE, unless you're willing to pay the extra cost for the shipping and customs charges.
But when it comes to a regular release like this particular kit, it's always great to have them in your collection. Aside from being an inexpensive kit, they are easy to find and you can almost collect them all.
The GM Command Colony Type looks very basic at first look. But when you get a hold of this kit, you will know that the build and quality are great and it poses perfectly. However, there are some issues with the shoulder joints but of course, this is an easy fix.
The build process is very simple, I didn't encounter any fitting issues. Definitely a highly recommended kit for beginners.
When it comes to surface details this particular kit doesn't have a lot of panel lining opportunities. If you want this kit to stand out more, adding some water slide decals and top coating with gloss or matte finish will definitely have a huge impact on overall aesthetics. This is also a great opportunity to practice some scribbling skills.
Like most of the GM units in the past years, this particular kit has some decent articulation as well. It can do a lot of dynamic and action-packed poses. Though the accessories that came with it a very simple. A shield, beam sabers, extra hands, and a machine gun with two extra ammunition magazines.
Aside from its loose shoulder's articulations, the thruster at the backpack likes to come off all the time. Gluing them in place will not limit any movements or whatsoever.
On the whole, this is still a great kit regardless of the few issues. A decent Gunpla to get if you are thinking of picking up a kit to help you gain a lot of experience in preparation before moving on to more challenging MG kits.
