This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

The 1348th Electronic Combat Squadron, also known as the Yellow Jackets, is a unit of the U.S. Navy established in 1976. It was assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga, and operated the EA-6B. In the 1980s, it was assigned to aircraft carriers such as the John F. Kennedy and the Nimitz, and participated in many operations. Since the 1990s, it has been deployed to bases more frequently, and in 1996 it even stayed at Iwakuni Air Base. In late 2009, the squadron began transitioning to the EA-18G, which is still deployed today. Since 2014, the squadron has been frequently stationed at Misawa Air Base.

This 1/48-scale model kit of the Boeing EA-18G Growler from Meng features a main pylon that can be equipped with a choice of electronic pods, drop tanks, and other items. Two pilot figures are included, and two types of helmets can be selected. The details inside the exhaust nozzle are precisely reproduced, and the wings can be built in either a folded or unfolded state. Photo-etched parts are included, as are masking stickers to recreate both the low-visibility and high-visibility paint of the 138th Electronic Combat Squadron Yellow Jackets. An ALQ-99 ECM pod, ALQ-219(V)2 radio detection device, and an AGM-88 HARM anti-radar missile are included too. Order yours today!
